Description: This training is designed for legal aid attorneys, court
appointed attorneys and private pro bono attorneys who represent abused
parents in child custody and child protection cases. The training will
focus on the newly adopted Family to Family Initiative and Team Decision
Making Meetings utilized in child protection actions and specifically
the effect on families with domestic violence. In addition, the training
will provide essential information on the interplay between pending a
child protection action and a child custody action in family court.
